Over the years, to protect others as well as my old job, I have written under the pen name Lucy Eaker and now, I love the name so much, and the voice that has emerged, that I still let Lucy write whenever possible. Lucy is the first name of my godmother and Eaker is my paternal grandmother’s maiden name and together, as important women in my life, they represent a powerful voice that sometimes comes from places I can’t identify. I have come to trust that it is their voices that guide me. Lucy has also started a novel but it is not quite ready to share…check back though, one day it will be! Until now, enjoy these samples of Lucy Eaker’s writing.
